It may have been all those long afternoons breathing in the dusts from grinding epoxy paint off the concrete floor or perhaps it was from the late nights sniffing can after can of latex paint, the thought of building our own furniture somehow hit us on the head. It wasn’t enough that we were all sore from long days of work, hauling away debris or nailing laminated planks onto walls, we were itching to try something different. Seen here are a few snapshots of us sanding down the wooden pallet, making sure there were no sharp edges, pesky splinters or scary nails. We then secured the bottom with plywood, weathered the whole thing using dry washing techniques then added industrial caster wheels. The result – a simple yet unique, affordable yet expensive looking – one-of-a-kind coffee table clients can’t seem to stop inquiring about.
